Instructions
1. Wet the skin.

i purchased this soap as i was a bit hesitant to try the other tokyo love soaps. i use kojic soap as it helps to keep the breakouts at bay but kojic soap dries my skin. my skin is also sensitive so finding the right soap can be tricky. have been using this for 2 days and i found that my face is having breakouts again. is this the right soap for me or should i try the premium or medicated one? i am getting good results all over the body though, my concern is just for my face.

please just let the breakouts, it will pass in about 2-3 weeks. Its normal because its squeezing the pores and pulling the blackheads out. All good product will cause initial breakout before your skin will clear.

hello, i am about to make my first order. I took time reading the reviews but i dont think anyone has asked this yet. Does this work like a bleaching agent that once exposed to the sun it will make my skin twice darker or do i have to just protect my skin from the sun (eg. sunscreen) to retain the effectiveness? I used to use bleaching soaps but since i saw no difference i stopped. I live in a country where it is currently summer and i’ve been getting tanner because of sun exposures even though i constantly use sun screen although i spend most of my summer at home. Thank you.

I stopped using neutrogena and replaced it with TLS. Im happy with the results bec acne is my common problem. For the body, im not considering it as skin whitener. Im morena, no changes on my skin color but it made my skin smooth.
I gave 4 coz it solved my acne problem which i suffered for almost 3 years.. but if youre looking for skin whitening soaps – dont expect japanese flawless skin.

hi viva, if it appears in the chin and areas around the mouth, it means that the skin is about to peel but your mouth moves a lot thus breaking the skin’s surface. Its best to not move the mouth much during these times when your skin is just adjusting to the soap. These soaps contains essential acids that makes exfoliation faster to make skin smoother so its very safe. Also make sure you are using the lather of the soap only to lessen its potency.

It does brighten your skin after every wash, but doesn’t really whiten your skin. This soap is incredibly mild, and I use this morning and evening. It doesn’t dry your skin, but your skin will feel really tight so I still recommend using a moisturizer.
The fragrance is hardly noticable, and doesn’t smell as good as the Premium soap.

hi cheena, its okay lemon juice will not counteract TLS original, though they have difference in PH, as long as there is a waiting period of atleast 5 minutes in between, which is the time where the skin PH returnes to normal, its okay.

I thought the Soap would be smaller but it was actually bigger it’s around 2.5″ in diameter. Not very impressed with the effect on my first. yes. you can use it when using hydroquinone cream but i suggest not using hydroquinone cream as this is an old chemical and is not recommended for skin use due to issues with cancer risk. I suggest trying our 7 day acai peel instead of hydroquinone cream.

This is an AMAZING product! I have been using it for only 2 days but it shows signinficant result already. My skin looks brighter in only 1 wash and became better after the 2nd wash. I hesitated to buy the soap but it was on sale so I did. Bought it on Dec 29, 2013. Package arrived at Jan 20, 2014. The box was flattened and the soap was nicely packaged with bubble wrap. It seems that the soap was delivered from Philippines, then to Singapore then to Malaysia, despite their claim of having stockroom in Malaysia.

Received my package on time as described, been using this soap for a week now, did not see any dramatic whitening of my skin, hence, 4 stars review, im just half a shade lighter i think. But I love the fact that its a mild soap, with mild milky scent to it . I use a facing sponge to work up lather, rubbing it gently and leaving it on my skin for 3mins,makes my skin baby soft.
I also noted that my pores are getting smaller, when it comes to fine hairs did not really see any difference but im not hairy from the beginning anyway.

I used this for 20days now on my underarm and I don’t see any significant whitening effect (only a little bit) on it yet and it does not have good deodorizing effect. I found out it helps reduce my “chicken skin” on my UA and it makes it super soft (I used this once a day though) and it seems the results tolerable because I don’t use it as often. for kid’s scar, i would highly suggest retinoic acid cream + brazilian acai peel to be used alternating every week. Example, you apply retinoic acid cream once a day at night for 1 week, after 1 week use acai peel cream for 1 week then just repeat the cycle. this is the best since TCA would be too strong for a child. thank you

For the first couple of days it felt very drying and my skin itched so bad, and that’s saying a lot considering that my face gets oily but my body it’s normal, well today I washed my face with this and left it on for like 5 minutes it dried and my face was so tight but it felt good, after rinsing it I felt soft and not dry at all, it had this refreshing glow. So was wondering if it’s alright if I leave the soap lather on my skin a bit longer just to see if it work better that way or is that a bad idea?

I read in a blog that it is both authentic but it is cheaper because it has less special ingredients than the Japanese version products you are selling. TLS original is gentle on the skin and particularly as a face soap which I used it for. However, three weeks of using this soap, I have not seen any dramatic whitening effect though. Not that im expecting it to do wonders on my skin and make me too fair as my skin tone is quite light anyway apart from small pigmentation / sunburnt on my face that I’ve had had a problem since my last holiday- as I forgot to use sunscreen!!!! But I just wanted to have that certain glow and hoping that TLS soap would do just that as with it’s product description. This is a great soap to try if you’re trying out TLS soaps for the first time. It wasn’t too harsh like other commercial soaps you find, especially since I have eczma it was really great in regards to the fact that it didn’t dry out my skin.
I didn’t give it full star rating simply because of the reason that I have some scars left due to my eczma and the Original soap doesn’t seem to whiten fast enough. So I will be purchasing their new soap: Pure Girls and also their KEU whitening corrector cream and I’m sure they’ll be brillian based on reviews by others.
At the end of the day I think all TLS products are worth the purchase because I am happy with their ingredients list, as opposed to the rubbish you find in other products you find in drugstore retailers or even real high end department stores.
